Our legacy |
Andcor was founded in Minnesota in October 1969 as Andcor Companies Inc. Its founder, Dennis D. Anderson, was known as the godfather of executive recruiters in Minnesota. With his talent and experience, Dennis helped Andcor pioneer several advancements in strategic human resources for high growth and middle-market companies.
Andcor’s initially focused on entry level placement of college graduates. Maintaining contact with college-level individuals led Andcor to develop the first on-campus representative program in the country. Andcor's collection of talent, and its superior reputation, propelled Andcor into higher-level searches. Today, Andcor's database contains the most extensive professional talent network in the region.
Andcor made an important strategic decision early in its charter to focus on Minnesota-based, high growth companies from emerging through middle-market. This focus maximized Andcor’s impact on these companies and brought them significant value. Work with this niche led Andcor to its current philosophy of extensive partnership with its clients. Through deep involvement with over four decades of clients has given Andcor an insightful ability to identify the culture and fit of candidates and in its new high growth clients.
Andcor gradually became nationally recognized for its commitment to client satisfaction through its nontraditional approach. The company became change agents within the industry, driving themselves and their competitors to higher levels of performance and service to its clients and candidates. Commitments like the one-year replacement guarantee on retained searches, refundable retainer agreements as well as the use of combined networks became standard for Andcor. By 1988, Andcor boasted the most quality-driven, comprehensive staffing service in Minnesota.
In May 2008 Dennis Anderson, Andcor’s founder and visionary leader, died of complications from a rare disease known as Amyloidosis. This was a great loss to Andcor, but its founder's vision and legacy live on today through his son, Ty Anderson who now leads Andcor.
